Director and founder, Dr. Leslie Prichard is a European and UK Chartered Patent Attorney and also a European Design Attorney. With over 17 years’ experience, Leslie has worked both in industry, as an in-house patent attorney for the European business of a US multinational and also for two well-known IP attorney firms.

Perspective and focus through experience

This irreplaceable experience of working in-house as a patent attorney for a business, and in private practice representing many different clients, has allowed Leslie to develop a strong commercial understanding of the importance of intellectual property rights and the most effective way to use those rights to help grow and support a business. There are very few patent attorneys with this particular perspective and focus.

Our practical and academic capabilities

Prior to entering the patent profession Leslie served an electrical apprenticeship in the nuclear industry before going on to study electrical engineering at university. He then obtained a PhD on a project partially funded by a major US company to test the switching limits of magnetic recording media. Having had a somewhat unconventional early career path has helped Leslie to become an excellent communicator and leader who can relate to, and work well with, people at all levels.
